Sussex Trophy History The Sussex Trophy Knockouts started in 1970 when the magnificent silver trophy, was presented by Vice Presidents of Lewes RFC, the first winners were Brighton FC (RFU).  During the 70's and 80's, Lewes dominated the Competition and have appeared in 20 finals, winning 12. Their reign was ended by Haywards Heath who won six times running from 1995 and again in 2003. Worthing, having won 5 times in the 80's, and once in the 90's, also won 5 out of 6 years from 2002   Sussex RFU Rules KO July 2010 (revised)

Hastings & Bexhill RFC Shield winners 2012 Competed for by Teams below First XV level Sussex RFU was one of the first CB's to recognise the importance of giving every team, in every club, the opportunity of competing in a Knockout Competition, as well as their regular League fixtures.
